Work History
Shelby has been sharing her natural compassion for people her whole life and translated it into her nursing profession and now as a leadership consultant with Move Mountains. She has had an eclectic career in nursing ranging from ICU/trauma to School Nursing as well as working with a Holistic Naturopathic doctor and recently retired from an orthopedic office after 25 years. In addition to being a Nevada-licensed R.N., some of her credentials include: Certification in Integral Facilitation; a Certificate in Wholebeing Positive Psychology; an NLP Coaching Certificate, a Master Practitioner Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programing; a 200-hour Certification as a Yoga Instructor; and Wilderness First Responder. The common thread in her work has been her deep desire for inner peace and self-awareness, which lead her to work with Move Mountains, where she has found like-minded colleagues. Shelby has a special gift, and natural charisma for easy-going and calm delivery of information aimed at helping others embody mindful leadership balanced with emotional well-being, improved relationships, conflict resolution, and empowered self-confidence.
What Mindful Leadership Means to Shelby
Having the courage to authentically work with what arises, witness without judgment, allow dynamic tension, and remain fully present. A willingness to unearth and accept the unpolished parts of yourself and bring all of yourself to the group in a vulnerable way that allows for greater connection and acceptance. Knowing we need each other to grow and the team's greatness is a collective contribution to this; the sum is greater than the parts.
For Fun
