Self Care

Exploring the wonder and joy of my life, especially as the high pressure of life can push us to bond together, grown, and reveal our diamond nature.

Work History

I’ve been a registered nurse since 1994.  With the wide range of diversity available as a nurse, I have worked as a floor nurse, ICU/Trauma nurse, school nurse, and currently for many years as an orthopedic office nurse.  The most exciting end enlivening work I do is not in the form of a “traditional nurse” but as a catalyst for people to tap into their own best selves.  Born out of my deep desire to learn and know my inner workings, I created a way to share this with others and assist people in the compassionate development of their own best healing self via workshops and one-on-one coaching.

What Mindful Leadership Means to Shelby

Having the courage to authentically work with what arises, witness without judgment, allow dynamic tension, and remain fully present.  A willingness to unearth and accept the unpolished parts of yourself and bring all of yourself to the group in a vulnerable way that allows for greater connection and acceptance.  Knowing we need each other to grow and the team's greatness is a collective contribution in this, the sum is greater than the parts.

For Fun

Mountain biking, Full moon swim in Lake Tahoe (excluding winter time:) Sailing, Kayaking, SUP, or boating of any kind, hiking, skiing downhill or nordic, really I just like being outside in nature’s playground.
