In an attempt to understand himself, Mitchell Gehring spends most of his time trying to turn consciousness into an equation. To that end, Mitchell co-founded Wren, which changed company culture through the intersection of artificial intelligence and professional development. Wren was purchased by Move Mountains and Mitchell has stayed on to integrate the products and data. Before over-exerting himself in a start-up, Mitchell worked in both Data Science and Business. At Outcome Referrals, he created machine learning models with mental health survey data. At ConvergenceHealth, he worked as the Head of Operations to facilitate the sale of the company.
What Mindful Leadership Means to Mitchell
To Mitchell, Mindful Leadership is a fundamental behavior. It channels one’s natural empathy into productive action in the modern world. Having studied Buddhism in Nepal, Mitchell wants to integrate the wisdom humans have possessed for millennia into people’s everyday lives.
Lake Tahoe is home so summers can be spent backpacking and playing beach volleyball, and yet, skiing for a half-day is a regular occurrence. When not outside, Mitchell spends his time reading, doing yoga, acrobatics or watching Black Mirror.
