Day 18: Past, PRESENT, Future
December 5, 2020
“Don’t look for peace. Don’t look for any other state than the one you are in now; otherwise, you will set up inner conflict and unconscious resistance. Forgive yourself for not being at peace. The moment you completely accept your non-peace, your non-peace becomes transmuted into peace. Anything you accept fully will get you there, will take you into peace. This is the miracle of surrender”― Eckhart Tolle
Past, Present, Future
Today on #ML30 we explore the value of the past and the future, but really focusing on savoring the present and why it matters.
Humans have the most advanced ability to imagine and create the future. Though we aren’t always that good at it. However, we must be aware of where we are. We must value the present moment in the now in order to have the future we desire.
“Wherever you are, be there totally. If you find your here and now intolerable and it makes you unhappy, you have three options: remove yourself from the situation, change it, or accept it totally. If you want to take responsibility for your life, you must choose one of those three options, and you must choose now. Then accept the consequences.”– Eckhart Tolle
What is one event, interaction or experience you anticipate in the next 24 hours that you would like to be fully present for? How can you set yourself up for success?
